A Davis County School District bus and semitrailer rig collided underneath an U.S. 89 overpass Tuesday morning, snarling commuter traffic through the scene.

However, no injuries were reported, and the bus was not carrying students at the time of the crash, 7:32 a.m., on Shephard Lane.

Davis County sheriff's dispatchers said that eastbound-to-northbound, and westbound-to-southbound ramps onto the highway were closed while the vehicles were cleared.

The cause of the collision was under investigation.
