White House posts sign: No firearms allowed. Hate crimes bill advances. Behind the Cliven Bundy arrest.

Happy Friday. It's been against the law to bring a gun to the White House for a long, long time but now there are signs making sure visitors are aware: "WARNING: Weapons Prohibited." The new signs, posted outside entrances to the White House complex, were added so that prosecutors could make weapons charges stick against violators. Neither the Secret Service nor the Justice Department could explain why it took 28 years to install the signs.
