There's a little football game on Sunday. Something called the "Super Bowl."

It's the Carolina Panthers vs. the Denver Broncos, and kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on CBS/Ch. 2.

CBS has plenty of programming leading up to it, of course:

9 a.m. • "Super Bowl 50: Before They Were Pros," from NFL Films

10 a.m. • "Road to the Super Bowl," from NFL Fiilms

Following the game — approximately 8 p.m., after the postgame — there's a live edition of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." His guests will be Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Will Ferrell, Megyn Kelly and Key & Peele.

And there's a special edition of "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (10:35 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2 — time approximate) with guests Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick, Adam DeVine — and Carpool Karaoke with Elton John.

• On Saturday, it's the TV premiere of "Jim: The James Foley Story" (10 p.m., HBO). This excellent documentary, which just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, profiles James Foley, who was kidnapped by ISIS in 2012 and later beheaded.

Friday on TV ...

• "Undercover Boss" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Greg Adler, president and CEO of 4 Wheel Parts, goes undercover.

• "Last Man Standing" (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Mike persuades Kristin and Ryan to become homeowners, but then Ryan backs out.

• "Sleepy Hollow" (7 p.m., Fox/Ch 13): Abbie's disappearance leads Ichabod to form an unlikely alliance to save her.

• "The Vampire Diaries" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Stefan tries to help Damon regain his grip on reality; Julian and his men take over Mystic Falls.

• "Dr. Ken" (7:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Dave asks a girl to a dance for Valentine's Day — and her father turns out to be someone Ken can't stand.

• "Super Bowl's Greatest Halftime Shows" (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): This special will celebrate the best halftime performances in Super Bowl history and trace the evolution of the event over 49 years.

• "Shark Tank" (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Veterans and military spouses pitch their products.

• "Grimm" (8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Nick and Hank investigate the possibility that a famous lake monster is responsible for the death of a tourist

• "Second Chance" (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): A series of murders involving young prodigies may be linked to an unsolved case.

• "The Originals" (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Elijah reluctantly aligns with Aya; Davina is conflicted after she is approached with an enticing offer.

• "Animals" (9:30 p.m., HBO): In this crudely animated new series, animals crudely talk about sex. Apparently, executive producer Jay and Mark Duplass brothers and creators Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano think this is funny. They're wrong.
