Cedar City • Norbert Janicek, a 6-foot-11 center/forward from Snow College, has verbally committed to Utah State.

Janicek announced his decision Thursday night. He will have three years of eligibility remaining with the Aggies.

Janicek is from Drazkovce, Slovakia. He played three years in Spain at the Canarias Basketball Academy before coming to the United States. He leads the Badgers in scoring (15.7) and rebounding (6.1). He averages 25.9 minutes per game.

In the Badgers' 76-59 win over Eastern Utah on Jan. 16, Janicek scored 23 points on 10-for-14 shooting. He also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Janicek received an offer from Utah State last week, according to his Twitter account.
