In addition to presenting the Beethoven masterpiece "Ode to Joy," Utah Symphony continues its commitment to contemporary classical with a new work by composer Nico Muhly.

On Monday at 12:15 p.m., Muhly and Tribune classical music critic Catherine Reese Newton join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to discuss "Control," a work inspired by Utah's environment.

Utah Symphony presents Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" and Muhly's "Control" Dec. 4 and 5 at Abravanel Hall. Tickets at arttix.org.
