• The orchestral/rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra plays its new holiday show, "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve," at Vivint Smart Home Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Shows start at 4 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $33.50 to $61.50, available for the early show or late show at Smith's Tix.
• A screening of the documentary "Some Kind of Spark," which follows students at Juilliard's Music Advancement Program for inner-city youth, happens at the City Library, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. A panel discussion follows. Presented by the Utah Film Center and the Utah Symphony. Screening starts at 7. Free.
