Winter camping isn't everyone's cup of tea. But those with a nice recreation vehicle or very warm sleeping bags can enjoy the winter silence.

Rockport State Park's Juniper Campground will remain open all winter for those looking for a close-to-home winter escape.

According to the Division of Parks and Recreation, the campground will be open with electric hookups only. The water and rest room will be closed.

Campers with self-contained camp units can camp for $20 per night on a first-come, first-serve basis. The roads and campground will be plowed all winter.
