Ski Utah, which markets skiing in Utah, received the History-Maker Award recently at the 25th anniversary of the Ski Affair, the annual fundraiser for the the ski archives at the J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah.

The award is presented to individuals or organizations from the Intermountain Region in recognition of their extraordinary accomplishments in winter sports.

Ski Utah President/CEO Nathan Rafferty said the real success of the organization he heads comes from the cooperation of the state's 14 alpine ski areas, Utah state government and the group's membership base.

Ski Utah is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. It began in 1975 with a promotion of budget of $500,000. Today is spends $3 million.
