Logan • If the Utah State women's soccer team hopes to qualify for the Mountain West Conference tournament, wins in upcoming games against Air Force and Colorado College are imperative.

The Aggies play host to Air Force on Friday at 3 p.m. They meet Colorado College on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Chuck and Gloria Field.

Utah State owns a 7-7-1 overall record, but the Aggies are only 2-4 in Mountain West play. They trail Boise State by three points for the sixth and final berth in the league's postseason tournament. Five games remain, including a head-to-head matchup with the Broncos in the regular-season finale on Oct. 30.

The Aggies struggled on the road last week. They lost at Nevada (3-1) and UNLV (3-0). Midfielder Jayne Robison, a junior from Layton, scored the only goal. In the two games, the Wolf Pack and Rebels outshot Utah State 32-25.

Meanwhile, the USU volleyball team travels to San Diego State (Thursday) and Nevada (Friday). The Aggies come off a 3-0 win over San Jose State, which bumped their record 5-15 overall and 1-5 in the Mountain West.
