Police bomb experts and explosive-sniffing dogs were at the downtown Salt Lake City Library site late Thursday morning after bomb threat reportedly was received by e-mail.

Police Detective Veronica Montoya confirmed the response to the threat, saying a "routine sweep" was launched about 7:30 a.m. in the area of 210 E. 400 South.

No suspicious packages were located, and by 10 a.m. Montoya confirmed, the scene had been cleared.
