Harry Reid sues maker of resistance band that he says left him blind in one eye. House conservative group backs Webster, not Chaffetz. Rubio fundraises in Utah.

Happy Thursday. Sen. Harry Reid and his wife are suing the makers of a resistance exercise band that the Nevada Democrat blames for an accident earlier this year that left him blind in one eye. The suit, filed against three companies, says that the resistance band broke or slipped out of Reid's hand, causing him to spin around and strike his face on a cabinet. He suffered "loss of vision in his right eye, a concussion, broken orbital bones, severe disfigurement and bruising to his face, hand injuries, facial lacerations, scarring, and broken ribs," according to the suit.
