Well, I wasted an hour of my life last week watching the second episode of "Minority Report" (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13).

I watched Episode 2 because I wasn't sure what to make of the series after Episode 1. What I learned is that, as I feared, "Minority Report" is pretty much a not-very-good procedural crime drama dressed up with a bunch of whiz-bang special effects.

Meh.

And the show's ratings are awful. It opened with a rather pathetic 3.097 viewers in Week 1, then fell almost 20 percent to a really pathetic 2.565 viewers in Week 2. And the demographics are as bad. Worse.

At that rate, this show won't be around for long. So why bother?

In tonight's episode, Vega and Dash suspect Arthur is up to something. But … who cares?
