Utah's largest classification continued to maintain its stranglehold on the statewide top 25 rankings this week. Davis, which dismantled Syracuse on Thursday, leaped ahead of Class 4A's top-ranked Timpview, which struggled with Orem. The 5A classification now holds the top six spots and eight of the top 10, with only the Thunderbirds and undefeated Springville making appearances.

Sky View jumped up to the No. 2 spot in its first season at the 5A level. The Bobcats face fifth-ranked Brighton on Friday, which is coming off its loss against Jordan in a shootout. No. 9 Mountain Crest travels to hostile territory to face No. 13 Roy. Other top 25 matchups this week include: No. 20 Desert Hills at No. 21 Pine View. No. 12 American Fork plays at No. 3 Lone Peak, and Springville heads to No. 19 Wasatch.

New to the rankings this week is Olympus, which trounced previously undefeated Kearns. The Cougars dropped from the rankings with the loss. The Titans are 4-2. Highland and Murray each enjoyed the biggest leaps, both moving up three spots from Week 6. The largest drop belonged to Pine View, which fell six spots following its loss against unranked Hurricane.
