Prosecutors have charged an Ogden woman with multiple felonies for alleged sex acts with a teen boy whom police say was a friend of her son.

The 37-year-old woman was arrested and booked into the Weber County jail on Tuesday. She is charged in Ogden's 2nd District Court with four third-degree felony counts of unlawful sex with a minor. Each count carries a possible penalty of up to five years in prison.

Court records show she was expected to make an initial court appearance via video feed from the jail on Wednesday morning.

An Ogden city police affidavit filed with the courts says the teen boy met the woman's son in juvenile detention and started visiting the family's home after his release. Police say the boy developed a close relationship with the woman and eventually approached her about starting a sexual relationship.

According to the affidavit, the woman had sex with the boy at least 20 times.
