A two-alarm fire left 12 people looking for new homes early Monday in Midvale.

Public safety dispatchers say the 11:13 p.m. Sunday blaze heavily damaged four units at 250 W. Foxbridge Dr. (8420 S.) Five adults and seven children reportedly were evacuated, and were being aided by the Utah Red Cross with food, clothing and shelter needs.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Unified Fire Authority, but firefighters believe the blaze began in the basement laundry room of one of the units.

A damage estimate was still being assessed Monday.

No injuries were reported.

In addition to UFA crews, firefighters from Sandy, Murray and Salt Lake City assisted in extinguishing the flames.
