'Burrito' adapting in first week with RSL » He was on the bench less than 36 hours after landing in Salt Lake City for the first time and is now already in contention to start what would be his first game in Major League Soccer Saturday at FC Dallas, according to Jeff Cassar.

Juan Manuel Martinez is acclimatizing quickly, said RSL's head coach.

"Really intelligent. Excellent first touch. Great vision," Cassar explained. "I think he's enjoying playing with the players that we have. We're going to be a team that's going to possess the ball, be dynamic with our movements, but also get in behind, and when you can become unpredictable, I think that will offset the other team's defense."

Cassar continued his praise of the 29-year-old Argentine when he said Martinez's intelligence will put him in the same conversation as the best players in MLS.

"I think he ranks up there with the top, top players in our league with his intelligence," he said. "He's played in so many meaningful games, pressure situations and he plays quick at the right time. He takes the right amount of touches at the right time and he's very clinical and clean in his finishing."
