This week's Utah Crowd-Funding Project will add some bling to your boots.

Goddess and Tribe is a small accessories business whose founder, a single Salt Lake City mom named Emily, has designed Soleslips — decorations in leather, laces, ribbon and other things, designed to add flair to women's boots.

Emily gives "basket assignments" to single moms and stay-at-home moms to help construct the items, allowing them to work and watch their kids.

Emily has started a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter to raise $5,000 for production of her Soleslips. So far, the campaign has raised $933 in pledges. The deadline is Monday, Aug. 31.

Benefits for backers range from a "thank you" postcard designed by Emily's 10-year-old son Preston (for $5) to a three-day, two-night trip to Salt Lake City (for $1,000).

If you have a crowd-funding project you'd like mentioned on The Cricket blog, email it to: spmeans@sltrib.com. Be sure to put "crowd funding" in the subject line.
