If you're a soccer fan in Salt Lake City, you're in the right place.

Salt Lake City has been rated the best city in the United States for soccer fans, in a study by the personal-finance website WalletHub.

The study rates the 172 most-populated cities that play host to at least pro or college soccer team, measuring 18 key metrics — everything from ticket prices to number of MLS championships.

Thanks mostly to love for Real Salt Lake, Salt Lake City ranked highly in eight of the metrics:

• 2nd in accessibility of MLS stadiums;

• 2nd in most friendly and engaged MLS fans;

• 3rd in performance level of its MLS team;

• 4th in MLS attendance;

• 6th in average ticket price for an MLS game;

• 6th in number of MLS championship wins;

• 11th in franchise value of its MLS team;

• 19th in number of sports bars per 100,000 residents.
