Real Salt Lake's youth movement is being recognized.

Homegrown products Jordan Allen and Justen Glad, both of whom spent time at the club's Arizona-based residential academy before signing first-team contracts, were selected to the 2015 MLS Homegrown team, set to be coached by American soccer legend Landon Donovan.

The MLS Homegrowns will face the U-20s of Mexico's Club America on Tuesday, July 28, at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo.

The MLS Homegrown Game, which debuted during MLS All-Star Week last summer in Portland, Ore., pits the league's top young talent against other youth teams as a lead up to the MLS All-Star Game. This year, the MLS All-Stars face English side Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, July 29, in suburban Denver.

The 20-year-old Allen has seen action in 15 league games in 2015, starting six. He scored his first career MLS goal, a game-winner, against Toronto FC on March 29. Allen was selected to the U.S. U-20 World Cup roster and saw time for the U-20s during the tournament in New Zealand before the Americans were knocked out in a penalty shootout in the quarterfinal stage against Serbia.

His first year at RSL in 2014 was cut short after undergoing season-ending microfracture knee surgery last May, but he returned to action in preseason and has established himself as a consistent, versatile option.

Glad, 18, has started in four league games in 2015, including RSL's U.S. Open Cup win over Seattle Sounders 2 on June 16. The versatile defender has started both at the center back position as well as outside back this year.

The RSL academy products become the third to represent the club at the Homegrown Game. Former RSL defender Carlos Salcedo, now at Chivas de Guadalajara, played in last summer's game against the Portland Timbers U-23s at Providence Park.

RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando and right back Tony Beltran were named to the 23-man MLS All-Star Game roster to face Tottenham. Rimando was voted in by the league's Fan XI mechanism, while Beltran was chosen by All-Star Game head coach Pablo Mastroeni.
