The MLS Players Union released its 2015 summer version of Major League Soccer's player salaries Friday. And Real Salt Lake came in at No. 18 among the league's 20 clubs in payroll based on guaranteed compensation.

RSL's payroll this year in guaranteed compensation sits at $4,328,253.51, according to the figures announced. The team's 2015 payroll is only ahead of FC Dallas (No. 19 at $4,098,291.59) and the New York Red Bulls (No. 20 at $3,884,228.39).

And the league's top nine highest-paid players exceed that of RSL's entire payroll:

» Kaká, Orlando City: $7,167,500

» Sebastian Giovinco, Toronto FC: $7,115,556

» Michael Bradley, Toronto FC: $6,500,000

» Steven Gerrard, L.A. Galaxy: $6,332,504

» Frank Lampard, New York City FC: $6,000,000

» David Villa, New York City FC: $5,610,000

» Jozy Altidore, Toronto FC: $4,750,000

» Clint Dempsey, Seattle Sounders: $4,605,942

» Robbie Keane, L.A. Galaxy: $4,500,000

RSL's previously-highest paid player, Alvaro Saborio, was traded to D.C. United Thursday in exchange for midfielder Luis Silva. But Saborio came off the books as a Designated Player last year — as did midfielder Javier Morales — as captain Kyle Beckerman and strikers Joao Plata ($150,000 in base salary and guaranteed compensation) and Sebastian Jaime ($200,000 in base salary and $266,666.67 in guaranteed compensation) rounded out the club's three DP's.

And after inking an extension with the club this offseason, Beckerman got a significant hike in pay. The 33-year-old midfielder had a base salary of $350,000 as of Sept. 2014, but according to the new numbers released by the MLSPU, his 2015 base salary is $625,000 and has a guaranteed compensation charge of $700,000.

Following Beckerman, RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando ($350,000 base salary, $370,000 guaranteed compensation), midfielder Luis Gil ($240,000 base salary, $335,083.33 guaranteed compensation), midfielder Javier Morales ($300,000 base salary and guaranteed compensation) and defender Jamison Olave ($290,000 base salary and $300,000 guaranteed compensation) round out the club's highest-paid players in 2015.
