Three convenience store holdups within the space of 24 hours have police in the Salt Lake Valley hunting for a suspected serial armed robber.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal confirmed on Tuesday that the latest robbery, reported 10:19 p.m. Monday at a Chevron gas station, 3900 S. 300 E., is believed to have been carried off by the same 5-foot-7, 170-pound, late-teens to early-20s Latino suspect who robbed stores at gas stations in Murray and Taylorsville early Monday morning.

In each case, the suspect — who also wore a black hooded jacket and bandana — approached clerks, produced a firearm, demanded money and then fled on foot with undisclosed amounts of cash.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call UPD at 385-468-9814.
