The new made-in-Utah TV series has another new title and a new executive producer. Both of which appear to be good things.

The show originally titled "Boom" and then retitled "OIL" has been retitled again. Now it's "Blood & Oil."

I'm just glad ABC got rid of the all-caps.

And Cynthia Cidre, the woman behind the 2012-14 revival of "Dallas," has joined "Blood & Oil" as executive producer and co-showrunner.

Her version of "Dallas" was a very good revival that couldn't survive the loss of the late Larry Hagman and the character he played, J.R. Ewing.

"Blood & Oil," which will air on Sundays at 8 p.m. beginning this fall on ABC, shares oil and evil oil barons with "Dallas." It's about two ambitious young people (Chace Crawford of "Gossip Girl" and Rebecca Rittenhouse of "Red Band Society") who head to North Dakota to build a better life and run up against a bad guy (Don Johnson of "Miami Vice").

Yes, it's set in North Dakota but will film in Utah. I've never been to North Dakota, but I'm guessing most people who don't live here or there won't know the difference.
