The cultural series known as Kingsbury Hall Presents is expanding for the 2015-16 season — and with that expansion comes a new name, UtahPresents.

"The expanded mission of UtahPresents is to provide an abundance of creative and cultural experiences for the campus and regional community," said Brooke Horejsi, executive director of UtahPresents and assistant dean for art and creative engagement for the University of Utah's College of Fine Arts, in a statement.

Most of the events are still slated for Kingsbury Hall, 1395 E. Presidents Circle, on the University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City.

Here's the line-up of events, all at Kingsbury Hall unless otherwise specified:

TEDxSaltLakeCity • All-day event, with speakers on the theme "Upcycled Thinking — Ideas Worth Spreading." • Saturday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mnozil Brass • Seven-member brass group from Austria, playing classical, jazz and other styles on both traditional and unusual instruments. Part of the Virtuoso Concert series. • Sunday, Oct. 18, 6:30 p.m., Libby Gardner Concert Hall, 1350 E. Presidents Circle, U. of U. campus, Salt Lake City.

"Mercy Killers" • One-man show about end-of-life decisions and the cost of health care in America. Presented in partnership with the U. of U. Division of Medical Ethics and Humanities. • Friday, Nov. 6, 7 p.m., Eccles Auditorium at Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope Drive, U. of U. campus, Salt Lake City.

"Miss Nelson is Missing" • University of Utah Youth Theatre adaptation of the 1977 children's book. • Friday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 14, 11 a.m. (sensory-friendly performance).

Universes: Live From the Edge • Theatrical group that combines poetry, theater, jazz, hip-hop, politics, blues and Spanish boleros. • Saturday, Dec. 5, 7:30 p.m.

DanĂº: A Christmas Gathering • Traditional Irish music. • Friday, Dec. 11, 7:30 p.m.

"Hello, Dolly!" • The classic musical, performed by the University of Utah Department of Theatre. Friday-Sunday, Jan. 15 - 17.

Northwest Dance Project • Contemporary dance group from Portland, Ore. • Friday, Jan. 22, 7:30 p.m., Marriott Center for Dance, 330 S. 1500 East, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City.

"I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story" • Documentary about the famed puppeteer, followed by a live Q&A with Spinney. • Friday, Jan. 29, 7:30 p.m.

Tian Jianan • Chinese virtuoso on the bayan (a chromatic-button version of the accordion). Presented in partnership with the Confucius Institute. • Tuesday, Feb. 2, 7:30 p.m., Libby Gardner Concert Hall.

Timber! by Cirque Alfonse • Quebecois circus company, performing a show inspired by early North American lumberjacks. • Thursday, Feb. 4, 7:30 p.m.

Banff Film Festival • Touring show of outdoor films. In partnership with Campus Recreation Services. • Tuesday-Thursday, February 16-18, 7 p.m. at Kingsbury

Radical Reels • Touring show of extreme-sports films, from the Banff Film Festival. In partnership with Campus Recreation Services. • Thursday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m.

An Evening with Savion Glover and Jack DeJohnette • Performance by the legendary dancer and the drummer/pianist/composer. • Wednesday, March 23, 7:30 p.m.

globalFEST On the Road: Creole Carnival • Touring version of the global music festival, featuring Haitian singer-songwriter Emeline Michel, Brazilian samba band Casuarina, and Jamaican musician Brushy One-String. • Thursday, March 31, 7:30 p.m.

"Die Fledermaus" • University Lyric Opera Ensemble and Utah Philharmonia's production of the Johann Strauss II operetta. • Friday-Saturday, April 22-23, 7:30 p.m.

Doktor Kaboom! • Interactive comedy science demonstrations. • Thursday, April 28, 7 p.m.

Early Bird tickets for the UtahPresents season will go on sale Monday, at 10 a.m. Discounts are available for those buying tickets for multiple shows: 10 percent off for three performances, 20 percent off for five performances. Early Bird sales also don't have handling or facility fees attached. The Early Bird offer runs through Aug. 17. (Early Bird sales and discounts are not applicable to the TedxSaltLakeCity; tickets for that event go on sale July 20.)
