A West Jordan man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition early Thursday morning after being stabbed multiple times.

West Jordan police Sgt. Dan Roberts said the 52-year-old victim called 911 about 4:30 a.m. and was at the door, bleeding from several wounds to the chest, when officers arrived at his unit in the Willow Cove Apartments, 9300 S. Redwood Road.

Roberts said the victim told officers that he had been attacked by his 65-year-old male roommate, who was not present when police arrived. The victim was hospitalized, but his injuries were not life-threatening, he said.

Officers were able to soon locate and questioned the suspect, but he denied the allegation.

No arrests were immediately made. Roberts said the investigation is continuing.
