A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted a couple for allegedly possessing a device to skim numbers from an ATM machine.

They were arrested after FBI agents and other officers observed them retrieving devices from an ATM at the Deseret First Credit Union in Sandy.

The couple's home address is unknown but both are Romanian citizens, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Officers set up surveillance earlier this month after the credit union reported skimming devices, including a tiny camera, on one of its ATMs.

The couple allegedly retrieved the devices and officers followed them before a Utah Highway Patrol officer stopped them south of Nephi in a car with two children. Their vehicle was searched and the woman revealed the ATM devices attached to her left leg.

The two were arrested and both remain in jail pending resolution of their cases.
