Utah Athletics' total revenue jumped more than 20 percent to $56.5 million in a single year, according to a 2013-14 update to the ever-handy USA Today database.

After two years in which Utah's expenses exceeded revenues, the U. spent $6 million less than it spent, buoyed by a 75 percent member share of Pac-12 earnings, up from 50 percent. Fiscal Year 2015 is the first in which Utah will receive a full member share.

USA Today's database excludes private schools, which are not subject to public records requests. Of the 10 public schools in the Pac-12, Utah's revenues rank ninth, just ahead of Washington State (which operated at a deficit of almost $14 million).

Oregon, with a $95 million football training facility courtesy of Phil Knight, led the nation in total revenue at $196 million.
