A "first of its kind" convention for fans of locally made online video content will be staged this August in Orem.

The event, called CVX Live, will bring together video creators and fans in a convention that will include video premieres, live performances, meet and greets, and industry vendors.

CVX Live (the acronym stands for Creator/Viewer Experience) will happen August 7 and 8 at The UCCU Center, on the Utah Valley University campus in Orem.

Convention organizers, from the Orem-based Bored Shorts TV, will announce Friday details of the convention, including the first celebrity guests signed to appear.

General admission tickets for the event are now listed at $35 for an adult two-day pass, $20 for an adult one-day ticket, and $12 for a child one-day ticket (ages 4 to 17). A two-day VIP pass is available for $75, and includes a t-shirt, lanyard and a "schwag bag." Tickets are expected to go on sale soon.
