• Pop boy band IM5 performs tonight at The Complex, 536 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City. Opening: Sam Pottorff, Austin Jones, Bailey McConnell, The Weekend Riot, The House on Cliff, Run 2 Cover, Clay Borrell. Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20, at Smith's Tix.

• Passion Pit, Michae Angelakos' synth-pop creation, plays tonight to open the season at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Opening: Holychild. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 (general), at TicketFly.

• The Utah Symphony closes out its season with a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 4, tonight and Saturday at Abravanel Hall, 123 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Artist-in-residence Celena Shafer will sing the solo; Violinist Veronika Eberle will solo on Shostakovich's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra; Thierry Fischer will conduct the program. • Death-metal/grunge band Entomb the Wicked celebrates its album release Saturday at Murray Theater, 4959 S. State St., Murray. • Country star Eric Church brings his "The Outsiders" tour back to Utah, Monday at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. (This is a make-good for Church's Jan. 31 show, when his entire crew and band came down with stomach flu and Church performed a solo acoustic show.)
