From Ryan Mosley, Flaming Gorge Project Leader for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

We only did lake trout netting today, but the results were astounding. We had a record number of lake trout (16) captured in the nets for a grand total of 220lbs! Big fish was 32lbs and the average was 14lbs. Lots of variety in the diets, including rainbow trout eggs, kokanee salmon, crayfish, and even some giant mayfly nymphs.  Pictured is Brent Leite with a 32lber before it was released to fight another day. All 16 of the lake trout were released alive.
