Police are looking for two armed men suspected in holdups of two west Salt Lake City 7-Eleven stores in the space of 24 hours.

Detectives say the suspects — Latino males in their early- to mid-20s, about 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7, 140 and 170 pounds, and wearing bandanas over their faces, gloves, dark baseball caps and dark clothing — first struck a store at 111 W. 800 South early Wednesday morning.

Police believe the same duo held up a 7-Eleven at 1353 W. Indiana Ave. (800 South), about 3 a.m. Thursday.

In both cases, one of the pair brandished a black revolver and demanded cash from the clerk while the second man grabbed cases of beer.

And, in both cases, police using search dogs were unable to locate the pair after they fled on foot into the predawn darkness.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call SLCPD at 801-799-3000, or anonymously text 274637 using the keyword TIPSLCPD.
