In the history of no-brainer entertainment decisions, the idea of a Disney on Ice production based on Disney's hit "Frozen" must rank near the top.

Well, it's happening — but it won't be coming to Utah until March of 2016.

"Disney on Ice Presents: Frozen" will run March 2-6, 2016, at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City.

The story of Elsa and Anna, sisters separated by a powerful curse, will be re-created live on the ice, with show-stoppers set to the familiar tunes of "Let It Go," "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and more.

The show's producer, Nicole Feld, said in a statement, "While it might seem obvious that 'Frozen' is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating."

Nine performances are scheduled: 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, March 2 and 3; 3:30 and 7 p.m. on Friday, March 4; 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 5; and 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6.

Tickets, from $20 to $65, go on sale Tuesday, starting at 10 a.m., at Smith's Tix.
