Sandy • Kyle Beckerman and Nick Rimando were back at training Friday, two days after playing in Wednesday night's friendly between the U.S. men's national team and Mexico in San Antonio, Texas. Beckerman's 60th-minute injury turns out to be nothing more than scare. The thigh injury that forced him to leave the match checked out and he trained fully Friday at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Real Salt Lake coach Jeff Cassar said the amount of minutes RSL's 32-year-old captain played Wednesday is similar to what Beckerman would've gone through had he been at training (Although Wednesday along the Wasatch Front was a non-stop blizzard).

"He feels fine," Cassar said. "He looked great today, so I would imagine he's going to be in [the starting lineup]."

The status of another RSL midfielder, however, remains up in the air for Saturday's match against Vancouver. Javier Morales is dealing with a groin issue and did not train Friday after going through training fully every day this week. Morales has two goals and three assists so far in 2015. Cassar said the training staff plans to see how Morales responds to treatment on his groin over the next 24 hours to determine his availability.

His status?

"Questionable," Cassar said.

Which also happens to be the status of forward Sebastian Jaime. The RSL forward continues to work his way back from a minor leg fracture in his tibia suffered on March 29. Cassar said Friday he doesn't think Jaime's "quite there yet" in terms of full fitness, although he's been training fully this week.

Left back Demar Phillips looks like he could make his return to the starting lineup. The 31-year-old Jamaican came on as a substitute in last week's 0-0 draw at Sporting Kansas City in the 78th minute, his first appearance since re-injuring his hamstring in the home opener on March 14 against Philadelphia.

"We need to make sure everyone's fresh," Cassar said. "He's been looking great. He's been looking like he has no hesitance with his hamstring at all, so really good."

Allen called up » RSL's 19-year-old Jordan Allen was among 20 players summoned Friday to the U.S. U-20 foreign training camp in Austria. Allen, who scored the game-winner against Toronto FC on March 29, is expected to be available for Saturday's match against Vancouver before departing for Linz, Austria, Sunday.

During the camp, the U-20s will play friendly against Qatar's U-20s on April 21 before facing Croatia on April 25. Both matches will be played at Red Bull Arena in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria.

This will be Allen's first time joining the U-20s this year. He will be joined by eight other MLS-based players, including Cristian Roldan, whom RSL drafted in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft before trading his rights to the Seattle Sounders. Other MLS players include San Jose's Tommy Thompson, Columbus' Romain Gall, Sporting Kansas City's Erik Palmer-Brown, Orlando's Conor Donovan, New York Red Bulls' Matthew Miazaga, Toronto FC's Marco Delgado and Philadelphia's Zach Pfeffer.

Allen has seen time in all five of RSL's matches so far in 2015 and earned his first MLS start on April 5 at San Jose. Allen's call-up puts the number of RSL players called into international duty early on in 2015 at seven.

Of note » What does Luis Gil expect from league-leading Vancouver Saturday night?

"They'll come flying," he said.

More Gil: "[Vancouver has] started pretty good, but at the same time, we're trying to find ourselves, so that's going to be our thing, especially here at home. We've got to dictate the game … I feel like this will be a game for us to get rhythm."
