A Utah man accused in the death of his ex-wife's husband will be evaluated again to decide if he's mentally competent to stand trial following a bizarre court appearance.
Fred R. Lee of Lindon is facing aggravated murder and other charges in the July shooting death of Mike Sidwell, and on Tuesday his lawyer asked a judge for a third competency evaluation.
The Provo Daily Herald reports that the 60-year-old defendant behaved oddly during the hearing, saying loudly that two attorneys would make a good-looking couple and whooping with joy when he was told the appearance was over.
Judge Derek Pullan will review the third and final competency evaluation on Feb. 3.
Defense attorney Deborah Hill did not immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday.
