Frank Jackson poured in a school and tournament record 55 points in leading Lone Peak to a 93-73 victory over Clark, Nevada, in the Tarkanian Classic high school basketball tournament Thursday afternoon.

The huge tournament that has drawn top teams from all over the country includes eight Utah schools.

Lone Peak, the four-time defending Utah 5A boys' champions, suffered a rare loss Wednesday in the event's first day, falling 64-49 to West Linn, Oregon.

Most of the other Utah schools were playing games later Thursday evening.

In Wednesday's games, Timpview earned a 65-49 win over Righetti, Calif.; Bingham beat Sheldon, Calif., 61-41; Orem bested Los Angeles Poly 63-49; Logan defeated Mayfair, Calif., 71-54; Summit Academy knocked off San Bernadino, Calif. 55-53; Wasatch Academy dropped an 80-52 game to Findlay Prep, Nevada, and Overland, Colo., downed Bountiful, 63-53.
