Looking for not just a win, but a big win from the Aggies today against UNLV. More than anything, it is time for the run game to assert itself and show it can carry the team through the next several games.

If the Aggies go with Craig Harrison at quarterback in an effort to avoid using freshman Kent Myers, the Aggies need a better effort in several places. The offensive line needs to create some holes up the middle and Joe Hill and JoJo Natson need to get to the edges where they've done most of their damage.

I also like the way receiver Hunter Sharp is playing. Harrison may not have the arm Darell Garretson had, but he ought to at least be able to connect with Sharp and fellow receiver Devonte Robinson on some screen plays, then it is up to them to create big gains.

Defensively, there really isn't a reason the Aggies shouldn't continue to play well. UNLV is using more of a spread offense, but it should be missing one of its biggest threats, receiver Devante Davis, as he continues to be sidelined by injury. Quarterback Blake Decker doesn't always make the greatest decisions either and has thrown 10 interceptions this season. Look for the Aggies to nab a few turnovers today.

All in all it should be a relatively easy game for the Aggies today. However, to me it seems important that the Aggies win convincingly. There are a lot of Aggie fans out there understandably nervous about the quarterback spot. A nice win and a nice effort in the run game would go a long ways in easing the nerves.
