Posted: 5:17 PM- A woman was impaled by a tree branch while riding an ATV in American Fork Canyon Friday afternoon.
The 35-year-old woman and her friend were riding the ATV in the Tibble Fork section of the canyon when they hit a bump and slammed into a dead tree, 2News reports.
The tree branch stabbed the woman's abdomen. She was able to communicate when rescue workers arrived at the scene and did not appear to be seriously hurt, according to 2News.
The woman's identity and condition were not immediately available.
