Posted: 7:11 AM- A woman accused of stealing hundreds of confidential adoption records from Farmington's 2nd District Court has pleaded no contest to five of 21 original counts of stealing public records.

Jill Ekstrom, 43, faces up to a year in jail on each class A misdemeanor count when she is sentenced July 22 by Judge Ben Hadfield.

Prosecutors say Ekstrom stole the records to sell them to adopted children hoping to identify their biological parents.
