Rescue workers pulled the body of a 20-year-old man from the Gunlock Reservoir near St. George on Wednesday.
The Washington County Search and Rescue Dive Team responded to a report of a drowning at 3:30 p.m., said Nate Abbott, a spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The man's body was recovered about 60 feet from shore around 6:30 p.m., he said. The man was swimming near a dock with friends and started complaining that he "couldn't breathe" before he disappeared under the water.
The victim's name was not released.
