Kirk Lance said he was lured from his dinner by the cheers from the Barack Obama campaign party Tuesday night at Salt Lake City's Sky Bar.

"History's being made here," Lance said as Obama's face loomed in the jumbo screen. "That man right there, he's got real ideas."

Obama supporters who gathered at the Sky Bar said they weren't waiting for Hillary Clinton's concession to declare victory.

"It's taken so long," said Nick O'Donnell, who brought his wife, Sydney, and his 11-month-old daughter, Zoe, to celebrate.

Members of the grass-roots campaign group Utah for Obama say they want to keep the momentum going in spite of the uphill odds the presumptive Democratic nominee faces in the reddest state in the nation.

"We have hundreds of supporters, and we are going to be campaigning as much as we can to make sure Utah gets to contribute," said group secretary Theodore Cowan, Jr.
