The Utah Division of Air Quality is predicting a "red" health warning along the Wasatch Front for Monday, marking at least the third air quality warning this spring.
The air quality today is expected to be in the "yellow" range, or a moderate warning level, in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah counties, according to the department's Web site, www.cleanair. utah. gov.
The department suggests residents reduce driving by taking mass transit or consolidating trips to reduce pollution during the weekend.
On Monday, though, the department said air will be dirty enough to warrant a red air alert.
Active children, adults and people with respiratory diseases, such as asthma, are advised to limit their outdoor activity.
Two red alert warnings were also issued in April when high winds kicked up dust.
