Town meetings set on Jordan School District split

Posted: 10:03 AM- Four town meetings are planned to discuss the Jordan School District split.

The meetings are for residents of cities who will be part of the new east-side district. Those cities are Alta, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Draper, Sandy and parts of Salt Lake County.

During the meetings, members of the new district's education transition team will present findings of its work so far and will invite input and participation from the public.

Each meeting starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at the following locations:

-- Wednesday at Mt. Jordan Middle School, 9360 S. 300 East, Sandy.

-- Thursday at Willow Springs Elementary, 13288 S. Lone Rock Drive, Draper.

-- May 7 at Brighton High School, 2220 E. Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights.

-- May 15 at Midvale Middle School, 7852 S. Pioneer St. Midvale.
