Tooele County Commissioner Colleen Johnson has taken a big step toward re-election this fall.
Republicans handed her 72 percent of the vote - and the party's nomination - at Friday's county convention.
Johnson easily outpaced GOP challenger Michael Wells to avoid a primary.
She now moves on to the Nov. 4 general election against Constitution Party hopeful Wade Pearson. No Democratic Party challenger is running. - Steve Gehrke
