Posted: 5:05 PM- Police have identified a man who was killed Wednesday in what they have deemed an accidental shooting by his co-worker.
Patrick J. Reuland, 43, was cleaning a foreclosed condo about 6:40 p.m. at a complex near 9200 South and 700 West with his co-worker, who had found two rifles under a bed. She was carrying them along with some other items when the 300 Winchester Mag rifle discharged, police said.
The bullet struck Reuland in the stomach. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital.
Police on Wednesday still were questioning the woman, who is in her 40s, said Sandy police spokesman Victor Quezada.
"We have to make sure we're covering all our bases," Quezada said.
