Salt Lake County detectives have few clues to help them figure out who entered a Murray medical supply company parking lot and stole gas from two trucks over the weekend.
A delivery driver for Alpine Medical Equipment noticed gas spurting out of his truck when he tried to fill up Monday morning. Around the same time, another driver noticed a company minivan was leaving a trail of gas, company spokeswoman Shana Foelberg said.
Someone had cut the gas lines of both vehicles and stolen gas, she said. Employees also discovered someone drilled a hole in the tank of another truck but did not steal its diesel fuel, she said. Surveillance video did not appear to capture the theft, which happened sometime during the weekend, police said. - Russ Rizzo
