LOGAN - With no contested races among Cache Democrats, party members huddled Saturday to offer support to those who will take on Republicans this fall. Office seekers were welcomed by nearly 75 supporters at Logan High's Little Theater. "Great turnout from a lively audience," said Vince Wickwar, co-chairman of the Cache Democrats. "We had the largest slate of candidates we've ever had. They were met with an enthusiastic response." The Democrats approved six resolutions seeking to improve air quality, increase accessibility to bike trails, create affordable health care, thwart the storage of radioactive waste, support transportation planning and preserve critical space. - Arrin Newton Brunson
