Three men who were arrested during an immigration raid at a Lindon metal factory earlier this month have been charged in federal court with re-entering the country after previously being deported.

A grand jury returned the indictments Wednesday against the men, who could face two years in federal prison if convicted of the charge.

The three men were deported in separate instances between April 2001 and September 2006 before illegally returning, charging documents state.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents had arrested more than 50 undocumented workers on Feb. 7 at Universal Industrial Sales Inc. The U.S. Department of Justice then unsealed indictments charging the company with 10 counts of harboring illegal aliens, and its human resource manager with two counts of encouraging or inducing undocumented workers to remain in the U.S. illegally. The company pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday.

The resource manager pleaded not guilty earlier this month. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each count. -Jason Bergreen
