Have something to say about the spread of so-called McMansions into Millcreek?

The township's Planning Commission will meet at 7 tonight at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 S. State St., to gather input about restrictions that would force developers to keep their homes compatible with surrounding neighborhoods. Super-sized housing has swept into Millcreek's land-starved historic core in recent years, replacing tiny tract houses with homes that snug up to property lines and reshape residents' skylines. The trend troubles some longtime homeowners who worry recent developments have left their suburb forever changed.

The Planning Commission will make no decisions. Officials say the meeting is for information gathering only. - Jeremiah Stettler
