Of the six nursing home residents who died during a recent influenza outbreak at Woodland Park Rehabilitation Center, five died from the flu, according to the latest information provided by the Salt Lake Valley Health Department.
Officials had previously listed the total as four. The cause of death for the sixth resident was not disclosed.
In all, 35 residents, or 23 percent, and 22 staff, 14 percent, were sick during the outbreak. No new flu cases have been reported since Feb. 15.
Nearly 500 people have died of pneumonia or the flu since the flu season started in October.
