Posted: 6:02 PM- A four-car collision slowed traffic for more than an hour on the Bangerter Highway and 10400 South in South Jordan today. The crash injured six or seven people, including a family of three who were flown by helicopter to University Hospital with serious injuries, said Lt. Dan Starks of the South Jordan Police Department.

Police responded to the crash shortly after 4:30 p.m., Starks said. Traffic was tied up more than an hour later as police investigated the scene.

The family who was flown to the hospital - a mother, a teenager and a younger child who was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center - didn't appear to have life-threatening injuries, Starks said.
