All West Valley City residents soon can ditch their recyclables at the curb.
The west-side city has launched a citywide, curbside-recycling program.
City crews are in the process of delivering blue bins to every home. Biweekly pickup begins March 3.
Last fall, the City Council voted to change its subscrip- tion-based service to a universal program, hoping to reduce the number of extra garbage cans residents request and the amount of waste that goes to landfills. The beefed up recycling program costs each resident an additional $3.30 per month, bringing the total monthly sanitation fee to $13.30. - Rosemary Winters
